Waushara County Land Conservation Department’s

Annual Conservation Field Days

The Annual Conservation Field Days event is held at Camp Lucerne for all Waushara County 5th Graders - students from Coloma, Redgranite, Wild Rose, Tri-County and Wautoma Elementary Schools, as well as home schooled 5th graders. The event is in co-operation with Waushara County Land Conservation and Zoning, NRCS, WIDNR, UWExtension, Wild Rose High School, & Golden Sands Resource Conservation & Development Council.

Six learning stations are setup to provide hands-on environmental education. The stations included:

Soils Wildlife/Forestry Aquatic Indicator Species

Groundwater Invasive Species Fisheries

Age appropriate activities designed to make learning fun and meaningful take place at each station. With the increased support of area organizations, this event affords students with great educational materials.
